Checked in to a room with seaview and balcony. That was nice. Hotel itself is not big but well designed and cozy. Hotel area was clean and the open areas breezy. The room we got was pretty small but fairly comfortable for a couple. a bit weird to have the shower at the head of our bed and the bathroom immediately upon entry to the room. Your partner can see you showering so the room is good only for couples. That however was all good for us. I pretty much had no issues with the room. The phone system though was a bit weird. I tried calling an outside local line with the phone but was told I could not. I had to go down to reception to do that. the phone in the room was for internal comms only. Breakfast was very nice for me. the spread was good and filling. The staff there were friendly and generally helpful. The main problem I had was communication. Suggest the management send selected staff on long contracts for English classes. I actually had to pay extra and missed my initial appointment because of the staff not being able to comms properly. Also, upon checking out, I did not get my final bill. The reception said everything was already charged on the card we gave upon check in. Will I stay again, on the balance yes. Hope you can correct the few things highlighted. Thanks

The U Jomtien Beach is an excellent hotel but has a few flaws. Overall is it modern, comfortable and clean. The highlight is the infinity pool on the roof which swayed us to book this hotel and we weren't disappointed, it really is amazing, especially at sunset. The only issue with the roof is the lack of shade. There are sunbeds and a few parasols but not enough, from memory 4 parasols covering 8 sunbeds. These fill up quite quickly so if you want to spend time there in the day best to claim one early, although that is unfair on other guests. We stayed 5 nights and only got sunbeds and parasols on 1 of the 3 days we wanted them. Room - The rooms are comfortable (excellent bed) and very modern but small. We had a sea view room which overlooked the beach which was great. Two issues with the room though apart from the size, 1/the shower is in a really weird place (behind the bed and separate to the bathroom), we got used to it but it's just a bit odd. The shower itself was great. 2/The other issue is the lighting in the room. There is no way of leaving a light on in the bathroom without also leaving a light on in the main room. This meant either sleeping with a light on or having the room in total darkness, making it difficult to use the bathroom at night. A bit of a design flaw. The air conditioning was very good and quiet. Restaurant - We only used the restaurant for breakfast, which was buffet style but with eggs cooked to order. The selection of food was great, with many different options to cater for all nationalities. All the food was fresh and of a high quality. Staff - as you would expect from a hotel in Thailand the staff were all very friendly and helpful, both in the restaurant and at reception. Location - The hotel is situated quite far down Jomtien Beach and there's not really much around it apart from a small shop about 5 minutes away and other hotels. There is one restaurant nearby, a large seafood restaurant. We ate there one night and it was very good. To reach anything else you really need to take a Songthaew or a taxi. A Songthaew is the cheapest way to get around and they run all the way into the main part of Pattaya (which takes about 45 minutes), the fare is 20 baht for any trip regardless of distance. We also used taxis a few times and the hotel recommended a firm called 'BOLT'. You download an app and book, just like Uber in the UK. They were very efficient and a reasonable cost. The other slight issue about the location is that there's no sunbeds or parasols on the beach, you have to go further up to find them. You can hire small plastic chairs and tables for a small cost. The beach was very quiet therefore (no shade) and seemed to be mainly used by locals in the evening to watch the sunset (which was spectacular). Overall an very good hotel that could be excellent with a few little changes, more parasols and better room lighting being top of the list.

Facility ok ( gym,swimming pool,rooftop) and have facility in bed room it ok I think suitable for people work for home and need relax time. In addition hotel have good breakfast buffet and near beach near night markets

Friendly staff. Loved the rooftop and the pool and sunbeds there, and the nice drinks. Panoramic view. The room seemed smaller than we expected, but worked out well. Cleaning of the room was ok, but not great (mirror and floor not to our standards). The restaurant SALT had great food.
